To educate my clients that “diets don’t work”. All the fad diets out there (old and new) are only temporary fixes. Dieting usually causes binges and cravings, which leads to overeating. What is it to be, a life with no sugar, bread, potatoes, and pasta, or one with no butter, cheese, oil and meat? Fats and carbohydrates are two of the three vital categories of macronutrients necessary for optimal health. The third is protein.
The weight loss from dieting is generally because you have cut something out of your diet, whether it is cutting carbs, sugar or fat, resulting in consuming fewer calories. Are you really going to cut major macronutrients out of your life forever? |

The bottom line is “calories in -- calories out”. You will gain weight from eating more calories than your body burns or expends through exercise, whether they come from protein, fat or carbohydrate. It is all about lifestyle choices.
My fitness philosophy is to incorporate three elements of success, which improve your health and quality of life and help you reach realistic goals in a safe and timely manner:
1. Proper, balanced nutrition/supplementation
2. Strength/resistance training
3. Cardiovascular exercise It is important to understand that these three elements are essential and work together to achieve optimum results for a lifetime. |

My mission is to provide people with the knowledge and techniques they need to become more physically fit by incorporating exercise safely in their lives. To educate them on the importance of eating a nutritious balanced diet, as well as exercise, on a daily basis. To motivate them to achieve new goals, and challenge them in ways that will make their new level of fitness functional in everyday life. To make exercise fun, natural, and a way of life so they can continue with a healthy and happy lifestyle indefinitely. |
