I knew I needed to get my workout routine back on track, but after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis five years ago, there were many days I was not physically able to workout either due to flare ups or fatigue.

Since training under Shawn, I have never felt better.  Shawn stressed form and technique in all the exercises.  She also pushed me to do more than I ever thought possible.  We not only worked on free weights and cables, but also on the stability ball and other balance training devices working several muscle groups as well as the muscle we were targeting.  Shawn had pointed out that the stability ball also helped me work on my balance which has helped me with every day activities outside of the gym, and also strengthening my abdominals and low back.

My arthritis doctor is amazed.  I have not had a flare up in 6 months and my blood work is almost normal.  He said, “Whatever you are doing, don’t change a thing”.  Shawn pointed out to me that it is important to exercise and be active even more so with my arthritis condition.  I have many more good days and I continue to feel better and stronger every day!

I have had several people comment on my weight loss.  In less than seven months I have lost 13.5 pounds (even under my goal weight) and over 10% body fat.  I also have lost inches from everywhere!

I had recently had all my blood work done and my cholesterol was 131, and my LDL/HDL ratio was 1:1.   The best of all, my Sedimentation rate (an inflammation indicator) was 5 (normal is 0-20).  I have been as high as 36.  These results have made me very happy!  Thanks to Shawn and a new way of life!

I have recommended Shawn to anyone who asks about my progress.  For those who live to far to use her services I have recommended her website for a lot of great tips on fitness and nutrition.

Shawn -- thank you, thank you, thank you!
